About Festival

The Circle of Light Moscow international festival is an annual event at which lighting designers and specialists in audiovisual art from various countries reinvent the architectural scene of Moscow by using video mapping. The buildings that symbolize Russia – among them are: the Bolshoi Theatre, the Moscow Manege, the Moscow State University, VDNKh, and others – transform into canvases for large colorful video projections. The admission to all festival venues is free.

           The Art Vision video mapping contest runs under the aegis of the Circle of Light festival. It is divided into three nominations:

• Classic Architectural Mapping
• Modern Video Mapping
• VJing.

           There is an educational program that takes place during the festival. It includes lectures and workshops with the world class lighting designers. Educational activities are open for visitors, but the pre-registration is needed.

OPEN CALL TO ART VISION COMPETITION

Открыт приём заявок на один из крупнейших в мире международных конкурсов видеомэппинга и виджеинга – АРТ ВИЖН. Творческие проекты принимаются до 1-го августа 2016 года. Участие бесплатное. Миллионы зрителей увидят видеопроекции финалистов конкурса на фасадах зданий-символов России – ЦВЗ «Манеж» и Большого Театра. Впервые виджеи выступят на одной из самых популярных event-площадок Москвы, в концертном зале «Известия Hall».

 

One of the world’s biggest projection mapping and VJing contests, the Art Vision Сontest, is open for entries. Artists are welcome to submit their projects by 1 August 2016. Finalists show their works to millions of people by video projecting on the Bolshoi Theatre and the Moscow Manege, the symbols of Russia. It is the first time when VJ contest takes place in Izvestiya Hall, one of the biggest concert venues of Moscow.
